After going to war three times, I found my true mission...
Hi, I’m Dave and I have felt such a deep love and exuberant joy from our Catholic Faith. That's why I’m here, to help you to share our gift of Catholicism with others.
Why? I went to war two times without my Faith and it was the most difficult experience of my life. I hadn’t practiced my Catholic Faith in years and it showed. I was facing the risk of death on a daily basis while serving in the U.S. Military through two tours in Afghanistan…and without my Faith, I lost all hope.
By God's Grace I made it home from that second tour in Afghanistan but I was in bad shape physically, mentally, and spiritually. I was home for just a few short months and I received the news that I would have to deploy a third time Afghanistan. I knew that I couldn’t repeat the same mistakes. Always knowing that the loss of my Catholic Faith was what was missing in my life, I resolved to reconnect with Catholicism.
I worked hard in those months leading up to my departure and I returned to Catholicism and immediately felt overjoyed by the Grace of God. My service at war that third time was completely different! It was still challenging, yet I returned stronger, and full of hope. I found what was missing in my life with the Grace of my Catholic Faith. Now it's my mission in life to help others to share the love their Catholic Faith.
